Wine critic, presenter and educator Champagne Jayne stands accused of misleading and deceiving the public by using the name Champagne Jayne whilst also promoting other sparkling wines, and according to is being taken to court over the matter for trademark infringement by France’s Champagne trade body.

beefsteak club malbecIn a trade often accused of over complicating things it’s with great pleasure that I introduce you to a wine that does exactly what it says on the tin. There is little more to say about this wine that isn’t already explained in its name or expressed visually on its label: Beefsteak Club Malbec. The wine itself is fruity, freshly and fresh, very drinkable if a little 2D but being on offer at £6.66 when you buy two from Majestic certainly adds something to the flavour!

Try it with steak, obvs (!) and fancy it up a bit with this sauce-au-poivre recipe from our friends at Ginger Jar Food. That’s dinner sorted. ………
